Unstable season 1
Unstable is unique in that we can test and develop with player feedback as we go. We can be reactive and study how each change affects the whole, without estimating and calculating too much before changes take effect.
Unstable S1 will be open-world PvP, where griefing is allowed. This is a new concept, as griefing has never been allowed on NC before.
We still don't know what to call the concept after the season ends – if it's a success! Feel free to drop name suggestions; maybe you'll leave the biggest mark on the new concept?

What is NorwayCraft Unstable?
NorwayCraft Unstable is our official testing platform. This is where we can test new concepts and variables as we go. NC Unstable will have official dev time on Mondays 08:00–16:00, but also expect downtime and restarts at any time.
In the first season we'll be testing open-world PvP, without claims.

What can you do on Unstable S1?
Unstable is an open-world PvP SMP where you can take part in the economy, challenge people to fights, hunt, steal and try to take over the world!

Everyone has access to commands like:
- /rt and /rtp - send you to random places on the map. Remember to stand still!
- /sethome [name] - set a point on the map you want to return to, e.g. your base or the nice house you built
- /home - opens a menu showing all the homes you have set. Remember to stand still!
- /home [name] - teleports you straight to the home. Remember to stand still!
- /tpa [player name] - sends a teleport request to the player, and you teleport when they accept. Remember to stand still!

FAQ
What is NC Unstable S1?
Season 1 is chaos. It opens with an alpha where things are unbalanced. This will be balanced out and launched as a separate game mode – if season 1 is a success.
As mentioned, season 1 is chaos: there will be raiding, griefing, fights and mayhem. There are a few rules unique to NC Unstable, but all the universal rules still apply, even if we're not as strict about everything.
Is NorwayCraft Unstable a Java server?
Yes, the server runs on Minecraft Java Edition, but you can still join with Bedrock! The IP is slightly different: NorwayCraft.no:19132
Is NorwayCraft Unstable free to join?
Yes, everyone should be able to play without paying. However, we rely on donations, in the form of rank and subscription sales, to keep us going.
Does the server have PvP?
Yes. The server has PvP everywhere except spawn.
Do you have to be Norwegian to play?
No, but the server is primarily Norwegian and the chat is in Norwegian. We don't turn anyone away, as long as they behave.
How often is the world reset?
NC Unstable is a beta test platform, so the world probably won't last long here. A typical NC Unstable season is 1–6 months. If the season is a success, it may be continued as its own game mode.
